Pastor Kendrix J. Gardner is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. Rev. Gardner is the eldest of two sons born to Rev. Calvin Gardner and Sis. Mary Gardner.

 

In 1989 Pastor Gardner completed the Entry level Chaplain Assistant Course Program at the United States Army Chaplain Center and School at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Rev. Gardner received his B.A. Degree in Theology from Christian Bible College, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. In 1998, He received his B.S. Degree in Special Education from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia. In 2007 He earned a M. S. Degree in Management of Educational Programs at Nova Southeastern, North Miami, FL. He has held teacher certifications in Georgia and Florida to teach ESE, K-5 Elementary, and Middle Grades Science.  He also matriculated at Liberty University Seminary School. Rev. Gardner is currently completing his doctor of theology.

 

In 2006 Pastor Gardner was selected as WHO’s WHO by the Heritage Registry. This organization is the original Heritage group for Clergy covering Canada and the United States. Further, Pastor Gardner was nominated and selected as a member of the 2006 Lowndes Leadership Class. Pastor Gardner received an honorary Doctor of Divinity in 2006 from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, FL.

 

By the providence of Almighty God, Rev. Gardner relocated to Lakeland Florida in 2010, where he currently serves as Senior Pastor of the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL. New Mt. Zion is growing multifaceted ministry with a robust congregation changing the world from central Florida. He also serves as the Late-Night Chairman for the Mt. Pilgrim District. In 2014 Pastor Gardner was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Late-Night worship for the Progressive M and E Baptist State Convention of Florida by President Bartholomew Banks. Locally, Pastor Gardner serves as member of the Lakeland Gang Task Force committee. He is an active member of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance IMA, and a lifetime member of the NAACP.

 

Pastor Gardner maintains an extensive ministry schedule that involves pastoring, community action, radio program, revivals, crusades, and denominational appointments. He is happily married to Lady Tasnee (Daniels) Gardner. As he states, “Tas is a part of God’s grace and mercy in my life.”
