NEW MT. ZION MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH LAKELAND DEACONESS MINISTRY “Love* Commitment* Service”
In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers, but temperate and trustworthy in everything. – 1 Timothy 3:11 NIV The Deaconess Ministry of New Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church are women who are committed to the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST through the works of spiritual care and the teaching of spiritual faith. With a Servant’s heart, we prepare the Communion each first Sunday in the month and assist those candidates who are ready for Baptism. In addition, we also reach out to the Sick & Shut In, the bereaved and elderly members, and the Women of the church. We are spiritual caregivers within the body of CHRIST and throughout the community. The Deaconess Ministry currently consists of sixteen women who are always ready to serve appropriately. The women set apart for this ministry are women of sound judgment, benevolent in spirit, tolerant of the weakness of others, sympathetic, and willing to serve to the best of their knowledge and ability. Our continued commitment is to love and serve
